Are you an experienced Teacher of Maths looking for an exciting new role for September or are you an ECT looking to start your school career?
We are working in partnership with a mainstream Secondary school in the Wigan area who are looking to recruit a Maths teacher for the start of the 2025 academic year.
They invite experienced and ECT teachers to apply with the potential for ECT induction.
The school provides an engaging and nurturing environment for pupils to learn. They focus on pupils’ mental health and have a fantastic Math’s provision. The school cohort does have moderate number of SEND and additional needs pupils who are working below expected levels. The school likes to promote Maths in fun, engaging, and innovative way and provide a structured Math’s intervention program to help students achieve in Maths. They the ethos of Faith, Hope, and Love at the centre of their chaplaincy program.
The school will be looking to interview over the next few weeks and successful candidates will require full DofE vetting checks.
About You:
- Must have appropriate teaching qualification and QTS status
- Knowledge and experience of teaching the secondary Maths curriculum
- Confident in classroom management and able to use your own initiative
- Flexible and able to adapt to SEND and additional needs
- Passionate about delivering fun and engaging lessons
- Desire to make a difference within educational settings
- DBS on the update service prepared or be prepared to undertake a full enhanced DBS check prior to placement
- Have the right to work in the UK
Job Description:
- Delivery of the Maths National Curriculum across KS3 and KS4
- Full teaching roles and responsibilities expected
- Create a safe and engaging classroom environment
- Contribution to department meetings
